Public education in rural Tanzania can only be described as significantly lacking quality.  In addition, because public school children have to pay for their own books, school uniforms, transportation, and school materials, many children don't even attend school, because their families cannot afford it, or they live too far from the school.  This leads to a perpetuation of lack of education, resulting in continued poverty.

To break this cycle, starting in 2018, Help for Ntoma, in collaboration with the local Lutheran Diocese, supported the conversion of a previous facility for deaconesses into a Primary School.  The school accomodates both boarding students and day students, from Pre-school to 7th grade.  The student body is a mix of paying students from families with sufficient financial resources, and students from poor families who would otherwise not be able to afford an education for their children.  Since the start, the school has grown to 280 students in 2024.

On school campus English is the mandatory language inside and outside the classroom.  Students have classes in English, Math, Swahili, Geography, History, Sciences, and Music.  The curriculum emphasizes practical applicability to prepare the students for life.   In addition, students participate in regular physical exercise, according to the motto
"A healthy Mind in a healthy Body".
